I have the same question actually, im flying to HKG on Thursday night on QF29 MEL-HKG, and according to seat counter the flight is dead full in economy, but theres plenty of seats in F & J. And last week when my mother flew out on QF29 last thursday, the flight was overbooked and she got bumped off onto standby (much to her disgust haha). Iwas wondering, as WP what are the chances of just walking up to the F counter or FF counter to check in, and getting a upgrade?
