But there's a difference between the fare basis and the class that it books into. Yes YUPs book into A/P on mainline jets if A or P is available. Otherwise they book into Y (and always do on Eagle/Connection as there is no A or P).

They are still Y fares as defined by the fact that the first letter of the fare is always the fare basis/class.
