From Zagat and Amanresorts website:

"Amanresorts has again been rated as the world’s leading international hotel group in the newly released 2007/2008 Zagat Survey of the World’s Top Hotels, Resorts and Spas, an evaluation of 1,287 of the world’s best places to stay and play as well as 48 leading hotel chains."

Both Gallivanters and conde nast regularly rate (or their readers rate) amanresorts as the best hotel chain in the world.
