Thanks for all the great advice, everyone. I've worked my way through the list of replies to do what you suggested, with no success to this point. Maybe the IR cable is defective, as I've literally tried everything. If you have any other suggestions, please send them my way, as I'd like to get the Slingbox working before Wednesday when I have to leave again.
