Here's what I posted, kindly reread it:
As far as plats and golds are concerned the rules specifically state that Suites are excluded as to assignment of "best available room at check-in" and that there's no free breakfast for golds and plats at resort properties. or at hotels on weekends.
And, it's certainly not unheard of to receive opposing opinions on the same issue from different CSRs. (One of FT's oft-repeated mantras is "If you're not satisfied with an answer, call again."
Howerver, posted recounting of properties "breaking" both those explicitely spelled-out MR terms/conditions is very, very frequent.
T's and C's do exclude suites from being upgrades and breakfast in lieu of what is received when there's non-availability or non-existence of CL's.
Also, the word
break (italicized for emphasis), is enclosed in quotation marks which I believe connotes something other than "deliberate violation of a rule/qualification ( or overlooking/ignoring/ of the T's & C's/Regulations/What's spelled out). etc. etc.
Yeah, some (not all) resorts, andproperties proffer Golds and Plats complimentary breakfasts and some PM appetizers/hor 'douevres (sp) above and beyond their obligation to do so.
Some do it voluntarily.
Some provide same upon request.
Some don't.
(Sheesh.)
