They had already implemented some measures at GLA to prevent this sort of thing happening. there used to be two lanes that passed in front of the terminal and the one nearest the terminal was barriered off about a year ago with access only to buses and authorised taxis.
Personally I couldn't understand why, but can now see that I was wrong.
