I was on United 918"Juliet" from DEN-IAD. Left a little late. We took off and about 5 minutes later we began to level off our climb and circle back towards the airport. Apparently we hit a bird sometime after take off and it had been skewered on the temperature probe. We landed in DEN and it took 3 hours for it to be fixed. No big deal, but I am curious as to why ual.com shows we arrived into IAD just a few minutes late when it was actually several hours. Can't UA get in trouble for reporting false times to make it look like an on time arrival?
