Confirming the reinstatement of the 747 on SQ285/6, this announcement came in this morning on the etravelblackboard:
Singapore Airlines, which has been under growing pressure from consumers, have finally decided to re-instate its 747-400 service in response to the increasing demand.
The service flies between Singapore and Auckland, NZ, and will begin again from the 29 June 2007.
Singapore Airlines will operate the daily SQ285/286 service flight using a 747-400 aircraft. The service and facilities will be similar to the current Singapore Airlines B744 cabin, including individual television screens in all First, Business and Economy class cabins.
