Paying for an MFU Ticket
Forgive me if this has been asked before, but I can't find it on a search even using MFU* to get past the three letter word search restriction.
I have a gold card via my business address in the Ukraine (Eurocheat if you like, but as I get more than 1,500 TPs per year a bit harsh).
I want to do an MFU (club to FIRST LHR-MCT for info). All prices up nicely on BA.com (in US dollars). However, and here is my problem:
I understand that MFUs have to be purchased in the country of EC membership. This seems to be working find, even from BA UK site (hence the price in dollars).
And
MFUs have to be purchased by the EC member, [Fine, it's me trying to book it.], and therefore you cannot change the purchaser's name [So far so good.], BUT
Nor does it seem can you change the purchaser's address (it's one of those "greyed out" information only lines).
PROBLEM: I need to pay on a UK credit card. Although I have business interests in the Ukraine, I have always avoided the hassle of applying for a Ukrainian credit card and if I did, it probably wouldn't be registered to my business address.
Is there an easy way around this?
Do I have to phone Kiev to book and then hope they accept a UK credit card?
Or should I book a club ticket via the Ukraine BA site and then use MMB to upgrade (risky???].
