Good wet morning from here in Texas.

I looked on ExpertFlyer and found that all flights from DFW-ORD have zeros across the board for today. They canceled the 6am flight so that's probably the issue. I'm on the 5pm flight but would really like to get out of here a bit earlier due to potential cascading delays as the day goes on.

In your experience, what has your success rate been in similar situations of being able to grab an earlier flight as an Ex Plat?

Thanks very much.

Mike
I think that you can change your fare basis to Y and AA will kick someone off the flight for you.

If what you are asking is "In a situation where displaced passengers are on standby lists for all DFW-ORD flights, what are the chances that enough ticketed passengers will no-show that all the displaced passengers can clear by 5 P.M. so that an EXP with a confirmed seat on a later flight can successfully stand by for the 5 P.M. flight?", I'm afraid I don't have an answer for you, and I would be surprised if anyone else does.
