j379pa, I've never heard of
Southwest charging a rebooking fee if you cancel. I'm only aware that any changes to an existing reservation would be priced at the current available fare at the time of the change or rebooking. For example, additional monies could be collected if the fare class is no longer available, the advance purchase requirement is not met or simply if the fare has increased. I'm sure there are other examples. The same would hold true when cancelling an existing reservation and then rebooking it. The current fare rules at the time of rebooking would prevail.
I'm never too old learn something new. Providing some additional details, rules or examples of
Southwest's rebooking fee would be appreciated. Thank you and happy travels.
I, too wish they flew to Europe. Also HNL and a few other destinations, as well!

If fingerprints showed up on skin, I wonder whose I'd find on you.
