Landside Concessions at IAD?

In all my travels through IAD, I've never seen any concessions landside. Might I have missed something?

I'll be connecting through IAD on Thursday morning. My GF and I will have arrived on a red-eye from LAX and will be bound for LHR. Thus, we'll be spending ~6:30am until ~9:30am at IAD. My Mom, who lives in the area, would like to visit us there. We don't want to hang out in the check-in or baggage claim area. Might there happen to be some small landside coffee shop or something I've never noticed that would make it worthwhile for my GF and I to exit security and spend time with my Mom?

(I'm going to suggest that Mom refund a refundable ticket for the boarding pass to get through security, but somehow I don't think that's going to fly.)
