I usually travel with my girlfriend - both of us fly economy to the USA and Caribbean and J or F for transatlantic flights. We can't sleep on planes (doesn't matter if it's economy/business/first), so the prospect of spending 8+ hours in economy is not very appealing.

We try to use miles as much as possible, but if it's not possible we don't mind paying discounted J or C fares (although I have never paid for transatlantic F and likely never will - seems like whenever I look, the posted fare is always around the $10K/ticket mark).
