Whether it's worth it depends on a lot of things. How many miles do you have? How many do you typically earn? What do you plan on using the miles for? The trip to NZ in C is a good use of miles, so it may be a more decent value than if you were only planning on a domestic Coach ticket.

With all due respect to gsforfree, comparing it to how much United charges for miles is not very productive, as I don't know anybody who would pay those ridiculous rates for miles.
