Did a search in this forum and was very surprised not to find very many mentions of good bar/lounge/club recommendations.

We'll be a small, mixed (guys and gals) group of single 30-somethings looking for a little nightlife in July. Not into any particular "scene", and would like to run the gamut from "quiet and refined" to "blaring fun". Though, since we are, after all, middle-aged, we probably wouldn't appreciate the places where all the club kids hang.
