I can't resist adding my .02 here, because I own a company that offers shopping tours.

When I first started my business, I included guided sightseeing in all the cities we visited, because I thought that my passengers would want it. How can you take people to Rome without showing them iconic sites like the Vatican and the Colosseum? But the majority weren't interested in a guided tour - all they wanted to do was shop.

I've built a small business with my quirky specialty and make no judgements as to what people think constitutes a great vacation. A shopping tour isn't right for everyone, but I've had passengers on my tours go home with wonderful memories and purchases that they'll use the rest of their lives. To them, the shopping is the travel memory.
