hi all, last year i took an adapter with me, got another one in US airport upon departure, and even got a third one from monoprix in france when i was there, NONE WORKED.

modern french outlets have a little collar around them, hence the plug can't fit inside the little collar, and the prongs aren't long enough to reach down through the collar to the holes.

a kind french couple finally took my charger to their home, which they said is old and so had "old" outlets. hassle for all of us.

i want to recharge battery for my panasonic digital camera, so called panasonic, hoping to buy a charger for europe. NO GOOD, they don't have them and couldn't help.

tried to buy extra battery, NO GOOD, they're on 6-week back order and i need it next week.

looked at panasonic france website, NO GOOD, no charger in accessories there either.

what to do? anybody know where to get an adapter with super long prongs?
