There is a very good way to foretell whether it will or not be NGBC. I am surprised I have not seen it mentioned before:
Go to the seat map of the flight in F class (J for international). If the 2 bulkhead middle seats are shown as available, it means that the NGBC is installed on the plane forecast to do the run. Of course, if the seats are not available, it could simply mean that these seats are sold. However, they have a tendency to go last. This is due to the fact that AA wants them filled last for service reasons in the old BC (there is a cross passage in the new one) and they never make them available online unless it is the new BC.
