Welcome to FT Razzle!

Try V185 using an adult fare. It will get you 10% off those tickets. For the children, the fare is lower if you use a child fare.

Although IMHO the California Zephyr is one of (if is not) the most scenic routes in the US passenger train system, the most scenic portion is between Denver and Grand Junction. Since you'll be starting in CA and departing the train at Grand Junction, you'll miss the most scenic portion! (Not to say that it will not be scenic - I hear the crossing of Donner Pass (between California and Nevada) is scenic - that is the only portion of the route I have not done, so I can not verify this.)
We need the break, I do not want to go through another war again this summer!!
I certainly hope not, and wish for the best! ^

Enjoy your trip!
