Booked & Confirmed King, but received 2 Queens...Diamond compensation?

Booked a King Ocean View at the Fess Parker Doubletree, got a little excited when I looked at the online check-in and see I had an upgraded room, but didn't check-in at the time.

Within 24 hour period, my room number and type changed twice, and finally ended up been a 2 Queen Ocean View. I was hoping for an upgrade during check-in.

Things didn't get better during check-in, was told all King Bed Ocean View rooms were given out. I politely said I had book a King and not 2 Queens, the agent said if I wanted an ocean room, that was my only option and there is nothing else he can do. I accepted, but said I would speak with the management later.

I didn't feel I was treated fairly as a Diamond member, shouldn't someone with less or no status get the boot from a King Bed Ocean View room and not me? What do you guys think it is fair compensation for booting a Diamond out of a confirmed room type?
