1. How did you happen to spend 75K miles to upgrade?
According to the website, upgrade are either 7500 or 15000 miles each way to/from Hawaii to the mainland.

2. Given that your AA flying is primarily between Hawaii and the mainland, how did you NOT notice what first class looks like on a 757?
