Apparently it has been confirmed that SQ will lease 2 Ex-MH aircraft to deploy to AKL. Crew will be trained to use the configuration. I doubt they will send the regional 777 to AKL as it would mean losing out quite a lot of cargo capacity due to the de rated engines which means a lower MTOW. The 773 has been subbed on the SIN-AKL run before, but only once from what I know.
