Regardless, SWA charges the auto rental Co's for the credits. Hence, the Co's are just trying to cut costs by reducing the gimmie from 1 credit to 1/2. Most airlines (oops, auto rental Co's) switched from 500 ff miles per week to 50 per day at more or less the same time. I.e., cut their costs in half there, too.

Ah well. Even the one half credit is still a decent kicker. And there are specials here and there.
