I'm sure this is covered somewhere in the "read this" sticky or I could find it through an exhaustive search...but I had to book an emergency flight to Boston for a family emergency this weekend and wasn't going to pay AA $1400 for a r/t coach ticket DFW-BOS. Instead, I got an early morning flight for $410 r/t but through Priceline. I was able to add on my AA # online so I at least get 1/2 points for the flight.

Is it possible to get an upgrade on my seat if I have a priceline ticket (booking code Q)? Do I have a chance at the ticket counter on Sunday morning...and would offering a tip at the desk help?
