I was on KL 877/878 (TPE-BKK & vv ) and none of the FAs spoke Mandarin... there were recorded announcements in mandarin twice each way. I too had to translate for my seatmate. It was hard to watch.

The skymap was displaying English, Dutch and Korean on my BKK-TPE leg. It was kind of bizarre.

There weren't any announcements in Thai... strangeness...
