Some ideas:

* Central Park
* One or more art museums (MOMA, Met, Guggenheim, Neue Gallerie, Whitney and many more...)
* A Broadway show (Spring Awakening is great)
* Ground Zero
* Wandering around in Soho and/or Greenwich Village
* New York Philharmonic open rehearsal
* A good Vietnamese dinner
* Shopping at Century 21
