I would not recommend staying at the old versace mansion. It is at the bottom of south beach, away from all the newer hotels/restaurants and in a little bit of a shady area. Also, the pool area is pretty weak, when I was there last year they had astroturf instead of real grass. And if you want a drink by the pool on sundays it is bottle service only with pellegrino going for $25 per bottle
