A quick anecdote I had with the famous E-Fare e-ticket...

I bought STR-TXL-STR for USD15 plus USD 90 in taxes fees...

Three tickets for myself, brother and GF. Of course no intention to fly back. We are at LH for check in. But lo and behold, we are rebooked to AB, departing in about 20 minutes. Of course AB has different standards and we are denied check in.. I guess they had oversold...

So we back to LH asking for change in reservation. No do as it is at AB, Ab says no do as it is cheapo fare and we lost the space ... So we come to terms and take a rental.

In the end LH says refund is impossible as the ticket is with AB, and we missed the check in, which wouldn't have been if we a) had flown LH as planned and b)had been informed of the change in reservation.

So the only way I filed a claim with AMEX .. it's only USD 135 but that's a nice dinner out.
