I had also read mixed review of the Queen Mary, but when we stayed (albeit 4 years ago now) we had a decent sized cabin with a lot of original art deco features. Perhaps we got lucky, or perhaps we had realistic expectations - if you're expecting 400 square foot rooms with stand-alone rain showers then you're in for a big disappointment!
We stayed on the old QM on honeymoon...as long as you don't expect "modern", then its fine.....However last year we travelled on the QM2-now that really is something else altogether ! After a week of Cunard White Star service pampering the flight home in BA F just seemed, well, shabby....
