I have looked at day tours to Chua Huong, Hoa Lu and Ba Vi National Park. Don't want to do a terrific amount of hiking. I am off to look at tour books but thought you might have a good suggestion. I am a single female traveler and I have the feeling I will be quite safe doing an arranged day trip. Thanks for any advice.
Hoa Lu Temple and Tam Coc caves don't involve any hiking. At Hoa Lu, you can see the ancient temple and at Tam Coc, you take a small boat for several hours through some very beautiful scenery. Bus ride is about 2 hours from Hanoi if you do a tour. Here's some daytrip info from Hanoi.
