I'm paranoid that at the last minute, they will tell me I can't take her because she'll be overweight with the carrier or something. How can I be sure in advance they will let us on?
She is my only family in the country where I'm living (and this flight will be my one-way return to the US after 8 years). I need her for emotional support to get me through the move. Can I provide some type of doctor's note to ensure she will be permitted? Has anyone ever heard of this before?
Thanks in advance!
Please, please, please have mercy on your fellow passengers and do not travel with a cabin pet!

I'm sure Fluffy, or Fuzzy, or Snuggles, or whatever is the kindest, gentlest, cutest, best-behaved and most-loved member of your family. I know the thought of getting Cudddles all doped up on doggie tranks and unceremoniously dumping it in the plane hold, or worse, sending Poochie to that awful doggie-jail (otherwise known as a kennel, or boarding), while your away is absolutely unconscionable.

Unfortunately, when you travel, you're going to be surrounded by rude, insensitive, annoying, self-centered jerks who find Pufflies occasional, and all-too-cute little yelps of excitement to be annoying. Worse yet, these people have the audacity to CLAIM they are allergic to animal dander! I know, I know, the nerve of these clods. It's common knowledge that there's no such thing as pet allergies, besides, we all KNOW that there's no way anything as adorable and oh-so-precious as your little Huggles could ever shed any allergens into a closed space!

To spare yourself and your beloved family member the indignity of having to deal with the morons we call "the traveling public" please investigate alternatives to bringing your pet on-board.

ahh--ahhh-- ahhhhh- ACHOO!
