There is nice small reserve and lodge off the N2 west of George.

I've been to Inverdoorn which is way off the Garden Route and north of Ceres on the N1 --- I liked that one.

Aquilla is a bit closer to Cape Town but I'd skip that one --- They had an elephant that didn't really want to be there. But as mentioned before this area really isn't ideal for game viewing --- but there so much other stuff to do that more than makes up for it.

The owners really make this place what it is....and they have a new room just added - this room in particular is nicer than anything you would see at a Ritz-Carlton or Four Seasons -- I don't think they have it shown online yet.
