Anyone who spends a little time with DL's award booking calendar can now see that award seats in most cases are not available 331 days in advance for non-elites. So saying the problem is the "credit card mile accumulating non-elites" isn't accurate. DL sees no problem in selling miles to AMEX and others, who reward those "credit card mile accumulating non-elites" as well as credit card mile accumulating elites, with the miles for their purchases. The problem is not any of the credit card mile accumulators (elite or non-elite). The problem has been and continues to be DL's staunch refusal to make available any reasonable level of award seats.
