Can't for the life of me think how the QEII can compare to the hotels in Dubai...I mean the place is hardly short of luxury (said in my best Monty Pythonese) hotels.

(not that I've been or have any intention of visiting Dubai - home of the wag)

Have stayed on the QM in LA and was less then impressed to be honest. Yes, the Art Deco bar was cool but everything else was just 'wonky' and a bit tired (a bit like the service there)

Am sure they'll do a refurb job but imagine the ineherent limitations of a ship are going to compromise the outcome..
