I'm not sure if you're completely OT.

After all, what constitutes a "has been" airline? Is it an airline with antiquated IFE, with a good but rapidly-aging international premium class?

Is it perhaps an airline that sees its future revenue potential not in providing the customer with more value but simply in packing in more customers per square millimeter?

I don't know the answers, but I do worry that CO is getting a little overconfident.
