BUT HAVE YOUR *GOLD CARD WITH YOU! I didn't have my card and although my boarding pass said Global Services, the agent didn't want to have anything to do with me with no card. Had her call the manager over. Same deal. "How do I know you are still a *Gold? You could have booked this a long time ago when you were one?" (Smart guy - he must know something about UA's computer system.)

I asked him to verify it with UA and he reluctantly did, with the "one-time exception, you have been warned to bring your card next time" speech.
