On a previous trip I purchased one at ORD that had a one-year expiration date. As it happened, I noticed there was a flight boarding as I was signing the charge receipt, ran to catch the flight, never used the admission that day, but did weeks later.
Both were to be surrendered on entry, so they're not really "one day" in the sense of being valid in more than one RCC on a given date---as one might wish, for example, when making multiple connections.
