Amazing idea, indeed.
My English is not that bad... LH will welcome anyone paying full fare - with or without status... However, upgrading could become ways harder without status - e.g. LH limits upgrades to eVouchers (which only the most valued customers get...). If there is no award inventory at all, at least the SEN award would buy you into F once a year on an award ticket...
