A roundtrip mileage run to PEK costs much less and will add a little more than 2500 miles.

The biggest benefit to me is seat guarantee, not op-up, because I need to travel on very short notice. Still, I did not like to do mileage run for some unknown reasons.

The traveler has to decide whether that is worthwhile.
