It is difficult to keep up, for example, if you want Hilton points with an AVIS rental, you have to do this at the AVIS counter. If you want Hilton points with National, you do this at the hotel check-in. I triple dip by getting miles for my AVIS rentals while asking for Hilton points for a National rental during check-in. 95% of the time, they don't verify. It would nice if an official bonus code post were available in each of the hotel forums, much like jkzahn has done in the USAIRWAYS forum and the discount code one going on in the AVIS forum.
