My husband did find Kolsch in bottles at our local liquor mega-store (Total Wine). It's called Reissdorf Kolsch Ale - brewed and bottled by Privat-Brauerie Heinrich Reissdorf GMBH & Company in Cologne. In his words - "it's a bit heavier than the Kolsch on tap in Cologne - but it's still hoppy and refreshing and a good beer". So those of you in the US who miss the local stuff might want to give it a try.
BTW - we don't have proper Kolsch glasses - but I found that some skinny gin and tonic glasses we got for free with Beefeater's gin a few years back work fine. Glad I never threw them away
