Reliability of Personal TV's and Content

I wanted to start this thread to discuss the quality of the Personal TV's on board the XM'd planes.

I was on 2 XM'd planes this past weekend and in both situations I happend to sit in a seat where the screen did not work (highly unlucky or these systems are just not durable). The F/A tried to re-set it both times but to no avail. Luckily the flight wasn't full and I was able to move but what would happen in the event of a full flight? I think A/C would have to cough up some compensation since the Entertainment device is becoming an expectation of the service as more and more of the fleet comes online with these devices. Has anyone else had issues with the device? I find it highly unreliable and the content is weak.

There is no News or map available on the system and the customers are left in the dark as to when these features will be available. Any updates?
