Those of us who have stayed on the Queen Mary at Long Beach will know how nicely these things can be done, and I would expect the QE2 to be even better.
Quite right. Though I have heard mixed reviews from those who stayed on her. the QM is an excellent attraction in long Beach, and well worth a visit, especially the ghost ride in the bowels of the ship.
Much better the QE2 ends her days in Dubai than suffer the fate of
SS Canberra which was scrapped by P&O.
Sadly, Howard Hughes' Spruce Goose is no longer moored next to QM, but you can take a very pleasant day trip to visit
www.sprucegoose.org through the wine country outside Portland, Oregon, which is then about four hours drive from Seattle. Handy for anyone planning a visit to the Pacific Northwest.
