Quite frankly, I'm happy to let the Dubai boys spend a fortune restoring it and running it as a premium hotel cum attraction.

If they did it here it would end up being moored off Margate and run by Travelodge, without a penny being spent on a refurb.

Those of us who have stayed on the Queen Mary at Long Beach will know how nicely these things can be done, and I would expect the QE2 to be even better.
