They will let you bring it aboard since she has a ticket and it won't count against your carry-on allowance. Just check the sticker on it to make sure that it is FAA approved. As I posted earlier, she will have to sit in the window with the car seat. But with preboarding, you should have no problem finding an empty row for the whole family.
