Based on a thread from 2004, Delta allows personal GPS devices on its flights

Since this thread is about 3 years old, I am wondering if anyone has had recent experience with Delta on this policy. I was traveling today and someone had the device on the window (with a suction cup) and a cord going to his laptop and was tracking our flight with MS MapPoint software. This is the first time I've ever seen this used. It was very cool.

I'd love to do this ... always wondering what those small towns, rivers, secret hideout, are down there :-)

This site seems to indicate Delta is OK with this
