I have noticed that some of the ZX aircraft already have new LCD screens on the bulkhead walls. I guess this is just an indication that the 734 and ZX aircraft are here for much longer yet.
What I don't understand however is why QF always go for the least amount of work possible when refreshing cabins. For example, since the 767's are going to have at least another 5 years of domestic flying, why not upgrade the interior to the 777 style of overhead lockers which provide more storage space and add in seat power through both J and the first half of the Y cabin?
Which brings me to my second gripe, being the Dash 8-400's and 300's which are used for some pretty long flying but have the cheapest seats around, no IFE and no window shades. Surely QF could have passed the hat around the finance department to actually fit these planes out to be at the same standard as a 737? I havent been on a 717 since they came back from JQ but I presume they too have a second rate seat in them.
The QF domestic and trans tasman product is really starting to fall behind in the seating and cabin department when compared to what JQ and DJ are offering.
