Thumbs up Qantas Domestic - Refreshed Cabins From July

Starting July*, Qantas will commence a program which will see the rollout of the following on 734/73H/763 (domestic configured) aircraft:
  • New fabrics (apparently they will 'loose' the blue)
  • New carpets
  • New curtains
  • New LCD screens and IFE system on the ZX* 767-300s
The new look will feature in both Business & Economy.

I expect QF will follow what Air New Zealand has done with their 737-300 ZK-NGI - new seat covers and fabrics (which IMO, look great now - click here for a pic). While there’s not a new seat or configuration coming, it’s certainly something to look forward to. QantasLink DH8/DH8/Q400/712 cabins are expected to remain as is (although, could always be 'refreshed' down the track!).

A lot of changes will be made to QF’s International hard/soft product over the next few months also, including the introduction of a new F seat, in addition to new fabrics, carpets and curtains in Y etc etc.

Rgds

* like with all things in aviation, the commencement of the cabin refresh program is subject to delays.
