I don't understand Marriott's thinking on this. It's been successful with Starwood keeping even their high end hotels part of SPG. I would make more RC stays if it was part of MR. I've stayed at other Schrager "boutique" hotels and this sounds great, but I have a very tough time staying somewhere that I don't get points.
