Double charged for $7500 ticket and waiting for credit
On 6/4/07 I called LH and booked a fully refundable BC ticket to Germany. The $7500 cost of the ticket was charged to my AMEX card on 6/4/07 and then again on 6/5/07. I called AMEX to make sure one of the two charges was not a "hold" or "pre-authorization" charge and they confirmed it was indeed double charged.
Then the fun began.....LH Senator line told me to fax a copy of the AMEX bill to the Billing Department. Naturally I wanted to talk to a real person so I could follow-up if the credit was not reflected on my account within a couple of days. According to the Senator line, LH does not give out a phone number to their Billing Department! All inquiries must be faxed in. Well....several days after faxing in the copy and still no credit. They sure double charged me quickly but now it is taking a while to get the credit and I cannot talk to a live person about it. I was actually told to fax it in again!
Does anyone have a phone number for LH billing issues here in the US? What kind of CS is this when you cannot speak to a live person about a billing issue?
